However indirect these elections may seem, the judges that serve us were chosen on the behalf of those that we elected with the notion that they would surround themselves with advisors, judges included, who held the same beliefs and political views. Thus, these judges have been chosen by the people, as all high ranking officials ought to be, in a democratic government. ... This process of seating justices may seem to go against democratic ideals, but in turn those chosen to serve on the Supreme Court will be able to provide for America the most, informed and impartial decisions possible. ...
