1. Courage - Facing What Lies Ahead
Just on the plotline of literature the hero must possess courage in order to truly be a hero and for there to be an entire plot to a work of literature. In all literature there is a problem which needs to be solved, usually by the main character, and the aforementioned character must solve it, or at least face it, in order for there to be a climax and resolution to the story itself. A clear example of this would be the books of Harry Potter.
